Melinda “Mindy” Rawlinson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from Hollins University. As a dance artist, Rawlinson’s research and creative work revolves around topics such as Radical Ballet: finding transgressional spaces, Voyeurism and the Ballerina, and the performance of sexuality. As a professional dancer, Rawlinson has performed with the following companies: Carolina Ballet Theatre (Greenville, SC), Wideman Davis Dance (Columbia, SC), Ballet Florida (West Palm Beach, FL), and Full Circle Dance Company (Baltimore, MD). As a dance educator, Rawlinson has served as an adjunct instructor at the University of South Carolina, Visiting Assistant Professor and Assistant MFA Director of Dance at Hollins University (Roanoke, VA) and was the founding director of the dance department at West Boca Raton Regional High School (Boca Raton, FL). Rawlinson currently resides in Lexington, SC where she continues to serve as a Thesis Advisory Committee member for the MFA Dance Program at Hollins University, and as an adjunct instructor for the dance program at USC while also serving as a board member with Full Circle Dance Company (Baltimore, MD) and for Ann Brodie’s Carolina Ballet (Columbia, SC).

Ashley began her dance training at the Dancer's Studio of Lexington, now known as Ann Brodie's Carolina Ballet Center for Dance Education in 1995. She continued studying dance under the tutelage of Mimi Worrell, Joulia Moisseeva, Nancy Atkinson, Amy Hartley and McCree Kelley with The Center for Dance Education. She attended Ballet Austin's Summer Intensive and Boston Ballet Summer Intensive programs during the summers of 2007-2009. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Dance Performance & Choreography and a minor in Business Administration. In college, she was awarded The USC Board of Dance award for Outstanding Artistic Achievement. She had the opportunity to perform some of George Balanchine's most Iconic choreographic works as well as other pieces
from the contemporary repertoire including Stars and Stripes, Faust, Serenade, Western Symphony, Great Galloping Gottschalk, Who Cares?, La Source, Brahms-Schoeberg Quartet, and Emeralds. After the first season o f her Professional dance career she was promoted to soloist (2015) and then to a Principal (2016)with the Savannah Ballet Theatre under the direction of Sue Braddy. She is currently the Director of Administration/Artistic Staff and serves as treasurer for Ann Brodie's Carolina Ballet. Mrs. Lindler is the Director of Administration and Ballet instructor for Ann Brodie's Carolina Ballet Center for Dance Education. She serves as the Director of Administration and on the board for the Columbia Music Festival Association. She received the individual support grant from the SC Arts Commission to attend the American Ballet Theatre's National Teacher Training Curriculum workshop and is certified for the ABT NTC Pre-Primary-Level 5.
